Establishment of Large-Scale Assembly Line

Prior to commencing mass production, preparation of both workers and assembly lines is crucial. For this specific production run, the factory set up a dedicated assembly line tailored to our order. Originally, there were no engineers with expertise in large-scale production on this line. Thus, our development engineers and factory supervisors took on these roles. Considering the performance of Aimicat in crowdfunding, we anticipated the potential for substantial sales in the later stages, making this investment worthwhile.

Before the assembly line started, we carefully formulated assembly plans and work instructions. However, we overlooked a critical aspect – the workforce consisted of temporary laborers. This resulted in inconsistent levels of proficiency among the workers. Some workers wouldn't follow instructions and might damage circuit boards, while others were inefficient, causing delays along the entire production line. Additionally, due to their temporary status, workers we trained today might be gone tomorrow. As a result, it was quite common for development engineers and supervisors to step in and work on the assembly line themselves.

Once the assembly line was operational, we had to exercise strict on-site control. The electronics team even designed a dedicated product management system to monitor the assembly line, enabling quick adjustments based on real-time work conditions. Each evening, we collected data on assembly progress and reflected on and refined our processes. Through this trial-and-error process, we managed to complete the production of 4300 units. Even so, each device had to undergo rigorous diagnostics before leaving the factory.

In summary, the establishment of the large-scale assembly line was a challenging endeavor. Overcoming the hurdles of temporary labor and ensuring consistent quality demanded intense hands-on monitoring and process optimization. Despite the obstacles, we successfully achieved the production goal, underscoring the dedication and meticulous attention to detail required to bring Aimicat to its users.
